A meeting was held at work where everyone gathered to hear supervisors outline their authority in the workplace and discuss various topics. At the end of the meeting, they decided to create a list of opportunities for everyone to choose from, allowing them to pursue personal growth.

However, when it came to selecting a position, I found myself at a loss. I couldn’t pinpoint my strengths or areas of expertise in any of the available roles. As I pondered my decision, I couldn’t help but notice the reactions of those around me. They seemed to question my choice, wondering why I would remain in a place where I felt unfulfilled and unmotivated. Every person in that room began to pick multiple positions for themselves.

In today’s fast-paced world, growth often requires making a conscious effort to stand out or carefully selecting our path. While we have the freedom to make choices for ourselves, there comes a point when our choices can become our own limitations. When we pursue a path that doesn’t align with our passions or strengths, it can lead to stress, panic, emptiness, and a sense of unfulfillment.

What I have learned about growing is that while we may have many passions to be great in many areas it is better to let them be unfold as you work in the position you have been humbly given. Because to grow a is divine movement of God, it’s unexpected it’s supernatural and unpredictable it’s the process of moving in the time frames of God rather ahead of his timing.

Growth isn’t about picking a path for yourself —it’s about allowing God to put you where you belong. I knew in that moment in that meeting I did not  have to choose a position for myself because I believe that God will position me according to his will.

I speak to you, never force outcomes when is better to tend the soil. We obey. We feed ourselves with truth. We stay rooted in Christ. And if we stay faithful long enough, what God planted in us will rise on its own.

Taking control may keep us weary. It tells us to take hold off, pushes to haste, and to decide ahead of God. But the word of God removes this by teaching:

“Neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.”

1 Corinthians 3:7
